Sazae-san 25 years later…
15 09 2008From one of Japan’s favorite snack companies, Glico (makers of POCKY) created a CM of the lovely characters of Sazae-san, all grown up and 25 years later. The purpose of the CM is to advertise for the Otona Glico product line or in other words, the adult product line.
What makes this CM really interesting are the famous actors and actresses playing the roles of the Sazae-san characters.
Wakame, the younger sister of Sazae, is played by the ever so lovely Rie Miyazawa.
I <3 Rie Miyazawa. Sazae’s son, Tara-chan, is played by Eita in the CM, while Shun Oguri plays the role of Ikura-chan. And finally, Katsuo is played by Asano Tadanobu.
If you noticed at the end of the CM, their cat, Tama, also makes an appearance…however, in the parentheses it notes that it is the third Tama (^_^;)

Wow, what an all star cast! What’s the deal with the slick car outside? Cross promotion?
It’s just to show that the character Oguri Shun plays is kind of a big shot now. However, he ends up getting a parking ticket in the commercial.

As for the reason why the car has such a wierd color, it’s a European sports car. A lamborghini probably. Owners of such cars usually don’t want a simple color that anyone can get. I think it’s pretty sic.
